The Bundeswehr chronographs were a general Issue chronograph for a number of military forces which included the German Federal Defense Force throughout the 1960s and 70s. As you can see in this Catalogue, they provided a reconciliation list of old-new The EE number you gave is definitely not a reference number, and TAG Heuer numbers haven't changed since 2009. The references numbers did change- but in 1992/3. This watch has the word “Bundeswehr” followed by the military serial number, indicating the region it was issued, engraved on the back as they were. This military flyback chronograph, introduced by Heuer in 1968, is an iconic vintage wristwatch associated with the German military. NOTES: Bundes Wehr means ‘Federal Defence’ in German.
